READY SET READ program was established in 2010 and has served many families of Hampton Roads. There is no secret that one of the best predictors of a child’s future success is LITERACY. Our objective is to promote literacy among children ages 4-12. We all can agree that early childhood literacy can last a lifetime.
In 2011 we provided more than 200 local children with book bags filled with books and supplies in preparation for the new school year. Throughout the school year More2Give volunteers and board members spend time reading in schools, libraries, and area churches. We encourage and motivate children to read through our Summer Reading Events and Programs. Our commitment is to improve the literacy in our communities and we need your support!.
